Blood Type "AB" Diet

There seems to be a lot of promising information out about eating for your blood type. We have gathered some of the information and provided it for you.

The History of Blood Type AB

Blood type AB is the newest and rarest blood group, comprising approximately 2% of the population. Individuals with blood type AB have both A and B dominant genes, and they have inherited attributes of both of these blood groups. For instance, those people with blood type AB should generally follow a vegetarian diet - like type A people - due mainly to their low stomach acidity levels. However, on rare occasions they can eat meat, except chicken, like their type B parent. Lets take a closer look at what the diet of a type AB person should consider.

Know what's REALLY good for weight loss?

Green Veggies, Sweet Potatoes, and Grapes!

Green vegetables aid in weight loss since they fill you up with fiber instead of a lot of calories. Sweet Potatoes are high in fiber and complex carbohydrates, so they help regulate blood sugar levels and satisfy the appetite.

Next time you're hungry for a snack, try grapes! Grapes are beneficial because they fill the void in between meals and may inhibit the action of certain cancer causing compounds (a blood type AB risk) in the body.

Oatmeal is good for weight loss because it contains a combination of both soluble and insoluble fiber, and it maintains proper blood sugar levels.

Suggested Exercise Programs for People with Type AB Blood

The exercise regimen for the person with type AB blood is comparable to that for type A blood, in that both respond best to the less strenuous workout. Moderate walking, low impact aerobics, hiking, dancing, swimming, golf, and bicycling are all exercises that work best with this blood group.

Also, much like the blood type A person, the blood type AB person has a difficult time reacting to stressful situations…they don't handle stress well! Therefore, the type AB person should practice tai chi and yoga for mind & body relaxation and muscle flexibility!
